About Me

Hello, I’m Jenny Yarrow, a qualified counsellor, supervisor, and mental health professional with over 15 years of experience in the field. I have been a BACP Registered Member since 2010.

I gained my BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy in 2010 and have been counselling in a college setting ever since, working with both adolescents and adults. Alongside this, I currently work as a Mental Health Advisor, supporting students in navigating the challenges that come with wellbeing and mental health.

I am also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, delivering training to professionals to help them feel confident in supporting others, and I teach on a Level 4 counselling programme, guiding trainee counsellors through their professional development.

In 2022, I completed the ADL Level 4 Professional Supervision for Counsellors and have since been supervising trainee counsellors on placement at the college. I enjoy supporting counsellors at different stages of their journey, and I place great importance on supervision being both a supportive and reflective space.

My counselling approach is primarily person-centred and humanistic, but I also work in an interactive way, adapting to the needs of those I am supporting. I believe supervision is not just about accountability — it is about creating a safe and reflective space where counsellors can pause, explore their work, and grow in confidence and clarity.

If you’d like to know more or to see if we might work well together, I’d be glad to arrange a free introductory session.
